Netia has joined the PWCyber program
Netia has joined the group of partners cooperating within the Cybersecurity Cooperation Program (PWCyber) run by the Minister of Digital Affairs. This is another important step towards strengthening cooperation between the technology industry and the state administration aimed at improving the level of cybersecurity in Poland.
Netia is one of the largest and longest-operating telecommunications operators in Poland which for many years has been consistently developing its expertise and offering in the field of advanced ICT solutions, including cybersecurity. A number of companies and public institutions operating in Poland use Netia’s services such as Incident Monitoring, Anti-DDoS, or Security Operations Center.
Under the signed memorandum of understanding (MoU), the parties undertake, among other things, to cooperate in order to exchange information on potential cyber threats and incidents that bear the hallmarks of planned cyber attacks on various sectors of the economy and the public sector. All this is aimed at, among other things, increasing the security of digital processes, products, and services.
“Services in the broadly understood field of cybersecurity are one of the main drivers of Netia’s B2B segment. We offer a full portfolio of services and solutions in this area thanks to which we are able to first test the vulnerability of a given institution’s systems and employees to cyber attacks, and then provide adequate IT solutions and monitoring services, including a full Security Operations Center. Joining forces within the PWCyber initiative will allow us to further strengthen our position, increasing the scope of protection against cyber threats, to the benefit of our customers”, said Andrzej Abramczuk, President of the Management Board and CEO of Netia S.A.
The signed MoU covers areas such as information, education, training, testing, and certification, including in particular: - improving competence in the field of awareness of threats and methods of attack in cyberspace; - identification of vulnerabilities and threats, and exchange of information; - developing recommendations for device and software configuration; - preparing and conducting cybersecurity assessments and certification; - promoting innovative solutions and projects in the field of cybersecurity and building partnerships with entities of the National Cybersecurity System (KSC).
