Netia Strengthens Connectivity with Google’s Global Ecosystem
Netia is the only Polish operator to have obtained Google Cloud Partner Interconnect certification in Frankfurt. In addition, the operator has expanded its domestic peering with Google, meeting the requirements of the Google Verified Peering Provider (VPP) program.
Netia is consistently developing its strategic partnership with Google, thereby strengthening its offering for B2B customers who are building hybrid and multicloud environments. The operator is the only company from Poland to offer services as a Google Cloud Interconnect Partner in Frankfurt—one of the key connectivity hubs in the DACH region and across Europe.
Interconnect Partner is an enterprise-class solution that creates a dedicated, private connection to the Google Cloud (GCP). It bypasses the public internet, providing companies with guaranteed bandwidth, security, and SLA parameters necessary to support IT systems running on Google Cloud.
It is worth noting that in October 2025, Netia launched direct, redundant connections to the Google Cloud europe-central2 region (Warsaw), implemented via two independent physical paths. As a result, customers can benefit from guaranteed bandwidth between their local IT infrastructure and Google Cloud resources in Poland, with minimized latency and high availability—particularly important for analytics, data mining, and AI/ML environments.
VPP – a guarantee of availability and resilience
At the same time—in response to growing demands for quality and predictability of traffic to Google services on the public network—Netia has expanded its private network interfaces (PNI/peering) with Google by adding two more redundant high-bandwidth links, thereby meeting the criteria of the Verified Peering Provider program.
Verified Peering Provider (VPP) is a Google program designed to optimize public access to the provider’s services. This solution ensures that Google services—from Gmail to video streaming—operate faster and more reliably for a wide audience. For customers, using a VPP-certified provider means easier access to Google services without having to meet Direct Peering requirements on their own or manage its complexity.
The customer gains access to publicly available Google Cloud resources and Google services through the operator, and it is the operator who handles all the arrangements and technical aspects of peering with Google. VPP also guarantees high availability and resilience, as the program’s requirements include, among other things, redundant and physically diversified connectivity to Google’s network to minimize latency fluctuations during outages.
- The combination of Netia’s symmetrical business internet (BDI) with Google Verified Peering and Partner Interconnect partnerships positions us as a “one-stop-shop” provider of connectivity and cloud infrastructure for modern businesses. “We can comprehensively address companies’ needs: from dedicated, private connections for systems running on Google Cloud (Partner Interconnect) to top-quality internet connectivity for the office, ensuring the smooth operation of Google services such as Workspace for all employees,” said Maciej Maciejewski, Senior ICT Product Manager at Netia.
