In view of a very fast commercialization of the new space at the Data Center in Warsaw at Poleczki Street, Netia faced the necessity of acquiring new server spaces for services from the Netia Next line, such as collocation or dedicated servers.  Being a part of the Cyfrowy Polsat Group, Netia has the possibility to use free DC resources in Grodzisk Mazowiecki.

This modern Data Center which meets the TIER III standard and provides at least n+1 redundancy for the entire key infrastructure was built for the purposes of Cyfrowy Polsat Group. So far, it has been used primarily by the Polkomtel company and its customers. The size of the facility (the total area of 4000 m², the server space of 550 m² and the office space of 200 m², 50 parking places) allowed for developing a separate server space for the purposes of Netia DC of approx. 200 m² (plus office area and parking places).

“In Warsaw, Netia has approx. 2000 m² of server space at its disposal; the commercialization of this space is at a very high level. In order to meet the demand of our Customers, we decided to use free resources in a state-of-the-art facility in Grodzisk Mazowiecki, where one can travel from the center of Warsaw via A2 motorway in around a half an hour,” stated Adam Kowalczyk, Senior B2B Product Manager at Netia.

As far as these services are concerned, the Data Center facility always performs the core security function. Rapid development forces us to constantly increase our server space. In the nearest future we would like to become the leader on the Data Center market in Poland, therefore, the facility in Grodzisk Mazowiecki is certainly not our last data center in the Warsaw metropolitan area,” – added Adam Kowalczyk.
