WHAT'S NEXT - WHERE ARE WE HEADING?

The global market of cloud services is growing rapidly. In modern, digitalized world, there is no turning back from cloud computing. It is also important that, contrary to popular opinion, cloud computing is the answer to today's challenges regarding cyber security. Cloud services and security were the main topics of our two conferences "WHAT's NEXT - where are we heading?" which took place on November 6 in Wrocław and on November 7 in Katowice.

The conference was organized by Netia under the patronage of NetiaNext, hence the presentation delivered by Rafał Bakalarz, B2B Sales Director for ICT, on the ICT service portfolio offered by Netia.

“The major goal of the conference was to inform our Clients that Netia can be their business partner not only in the field of telecommunications services, but also in the broadly understood IT or ICT services. The experience gained so far shows that this knowledge is spreading at a satisfactory pace thanks to direct sales activities and translates into outstanding sales results, however, we would like to make sure that in the near future, each of Netia's B2B clients knows that they can buy IT security services, cloud computing or collocation directly in Netia," said Rafał Bakalarz, B2B Sales Director for ICT.

Two special guests participated in the conference: Lisa Forte - Social Engineering & Cyber Security Expert, and from Poland - Adam Haertle from ZaufanaTrzeciaStrona.pl. Adam Kowalczyk told us about the advantages of the data center over one’s own server room or “server under the desk”, and Tomasz Orłowski, our security expert, explained the anatomy of an attack. Apart from them, the topic of security and professional data storage equipment was taken up by the experts from our Partners: Palo Alto Networks and Dell EMC.

The event organized by Netia was addressed to security and IT directors and persons responsible for data security at the company.  In total, 147 potential and current clients participated in both events. Everyone was delighted with the unusual locations selected for the conferences - Hydropolis, the museum of science in Wrocław and the Zinc Rolling Mill in Katowice. Unconventional places and short, entertaining presentations contributed to the positive reception of our event not only by the participants, but also by the speakers.

“I attended the What’s Next 2018 conference as a speaker. The conference has a great atmosphere and was held at some amazing venues. I was impressed with how well organised the conference was. All the talks were hugely informative and professional and the networking opportunities were excellent. I would highly recommend this conference to anyone interested in cyber security, digital transformation and innovation. An excellent event! – said Lisa Forte, Social Engineering & Cyber Security Expert, Red Goat.
The conference materials can be found on the website dedicated to both events: www.whatisnext.pl
